House Asuras is recognized in nearly every corner of Ghelspad as the largest, richest merchant organization on the continent and possibly in the world. These traders dominate or compete strongly in marketplaces in every major city. The typical commoner might see a member of the Asuras only a few times a year, but likely most of the goods he purchases are touched by the family’s traders at some point.
Just about every city of note has a presence of the Asuras, each of these managed and overseen by a member of the family or an employee in very good standing with the family. Major cities and major trading hubs are run by one of the Reeves many children while less important cities are seen to by grand children, nephews, cousins and so forth. In the major cities of Ghelspad the Asuras maintain a trading house or compound where the matters of business are attended to and the un-interrupted flow of commerce is maintained to ensure all goes without a hitch.
Beyond their merchant enterprises, the Asuras has also been known to collect and even horde maps; they pay handsomely to adventurers or mercenaries to not only obtain maps (particularly those that pre-date the Divine War) but to retrieve lost items. The house is believed to have amassed a great deal of lost historic artifacts and it goes without saying that the most diverse and thorough knowledge of the continent’s trade and travel routes are secrets that the Asuras guard closely.
