For the Glory of the Black Dragon
- LaQuaen: The most notable landmark of the Dock District is LaQuaen, the palace of Queen Galeeda. The palace is a wonder of architecture, built primarily upon the surface of the lake itself and infused with a strong presence of nature from the brilliant green of leaves to the array of vibrant colors of the exotic flowering shrubs. The structure rises like a delicate flower with flowing lines and elegant ornamentation. The palace is a wonder and a beauty to behold, much like the queen who inhabits it, and many wonder why the strong waves that pound against the palace’s walls during storms do not surge through and drown the inhabitants. However those who know architecture and magic know the structure to be a strong and sturdy testament to the superiority of Calastian engineering. The tower’s facade is layered with an ornamental stone tile that changes color depending upon the light hitting it. The palace walls are a deep gold at dawn, takes on a reddish hue around noon and gleams a pale white in the light of a full moon.
