Outpost Elra is located in southeastern Lageni, nearly straddling the border that runs from Lake Vashon to the Kelders. A settled fortified town in the rugged regions of the Kelder foothills; the town’s primary purpose is to safe guard the nation’s southern reaches, particularly threats from the Kelder mountains and from insurgents from Calastia, be it bandits or greedy nobles with their sights on Lageni’s untapped resources.
Fort Elra houses several dozen soldiers and is known to have a large stable of mounts for far-reaching scout patrols who are all experienced riders. Lately members of Lageni’s elite cavalry, the Black Dragoons have been cited in the region of the town.
A group of Calastian Battle-Mages have been stationed here by Arch-Duke Treviak; their efficiency and effectiveness in battle was the reason King Virduk sent them to assist Treviak in his ongoing war efforts with Burok-Torn and Durrover – why they are detained in Outpost Elra is not widely known.
It is here where the surviving members of the original Calastian Battle-mage troupe and their small entourage reside. The formidable tower lies on the rugged Eastern outskirts of Outpost Elra and maintains it’s own stables and a small forge. Despite the fears held by the locals concerning the tower’s inhabitants, many a flock of sheep can be found grazing in the environs near by. While the locals fear the Battle-mages they know their fear is shared by marauders and titan-spawn in the region, and resting one’s flock in the shade of Devil’s Tower is as safe a place one might find in this rugged territory.
